friday-newsletter-logoEach Friday, the leaders of the various ministries at Victory Church & Christian Academy deliver email newsletters to all of the Victory supporters. In addition to receiving these newsletters via email, they can also be found each week, right here on the website. With so much happening at Victory these days, we realize the importance of clear and frequent communication. If you are interested in receiving weekly updates from Victory, just fill out the form at the bottom of this page and let us know what types of communications you would like to receive!

Good afternoon Victory!

The high school staff of Victory Christian Academy just got back a few hours ago from Camp D.I.R.T. (developing interpersonal relationships together). This two day adventure gets the students out of school and into an environment where they can get to know one another better, worship together and pray together. Inevitably, God shows up and builds a community that would not happen through the normal activity of school.

With the 500th Anniversary of the Reformation coming in just a few weeks from now (See the attached announcements for more celebration information), it could be easy to get lost in the history of God and lose sight of the new things he is doing right in front of us. This weekend I got a chance to witness what God is doing and can do with the next generation. Much of it would not happen in a typical (for us) Sunday morning service. So it may be hard for us to understand. Just like it is hard for us to understand the generation ahead of us and the one behind us. So if its not in our experience of God, is it from God at all?

As we move forward through the Valley of Chaos together as Victory, as a New Creation, this is an important question as God is doing new things all around us!

We’ll be talking about that and more on Sunday!

Bonnie Sanchez - Victory Principal

From Principal Bonnie Sanchez

Greetings,

Mark your calendars for our Fall Carnival which will be held on Saturday, October 21st from 4-8 pm! I have seen the list of games so I know that you won’t be disappointed. Our high school family will be joining us so this is going to be an event that you and your children won’t want to miss!

Our 7th and 8th-grade students are returning from Catalina Island today and I hope they had a blast. Thank you to the parents that were able to chaperone or drive, and to Coach for the leadership. You all helped make this trip possible and hopefully a memory that the children will cherish for years to come.

Parent and Teacher Conferences will be held on Thursday and Friday afternoon, October 12th and 13th.  These are minimum days with school releasing at 12:30 pm. Day Care will be available for those that need it. This will be a great chance to ask your child’s teacher some questions and discuss their progress to date.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions and have a great weekend!
