friday-newsletter-logoEach Friday, the leaders of the various ministries at Victory Church & Christian Academy deliver email newsletters to all of the Victory supporters. In addition to receiving these newsletters via email, they can also be found each week, right here on the website. With so much happening at Victory these days, we realize the importance of clear and frequent communication. If you are interested in receiving weekly updates from Victory, just fill out the form at the bottom of this page and let us know what types of communications you would like to receive!

Victory Community!

“What’s in it for me?” That is the question that we ask ourselves A LOT. For many, it’s probably the biggest deciding factor for the many decisions that have to be made in life. If we are going to invest ourselves intellectually, emotionally, financially, or with time, we expect some kind of return. The more we invest, the greater the return. Faith, church, God, all require some kind of investment. Do you feel you are getting a good return? I can’t answer that question for you. But we’ve all been there at some point. Maybe you’re on the outside wondering if you should invest at all. This Sunday we’re going to be looking at that question, “Is Jesus a Good Investment?” (You can probably guess my answer but it may not be exactly as you think.)

Tonight is Victory Christian Academy’s Homecoming game! Come out and join current students, families, and alumni to support the team and schools! Last week the Knights won 48-0. Who knows what will happen tonight! -Victory Christian Academy High School has its inaugural Homecoming game September 22nd at Valhalla High School. Kickoff is at 7 pm. The Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at Halftime. Our Knights will be facing off against Horizon North County! Come out and join current students, families, and alumni to support the team and schools! Last week the Knights won 48-0. Who knows what will happen tonight! GO KNIGHTS!

Our Highschoolers will be headed off to Camp Dirt later this week for two days of community and spiritual building. Our 7th and 8th graders are headed to Catalina for camp as well. Keep all in your prayers.

Remember, Monday nights at 7 pm is a prayer meeting at the East Campus to prayer for our ministry and the many that do not know the Victory of Jesus.

Keep praying for the sale of the building and for discernment for the teams handling it.

See you Sunday!

Bonnie Sanchez - Victory Principal

From Principal Bonnie Sanchez

Happy Friday Victory families,

We have just concluded another wonderful week here at Victory! Today was picture day and it was wonderful to see the beautiful shining faces of our children. The students just ooze confidence when they are dressed in their nicest clothes and have put in the extra effort to make their hair look just right.

Ms. Vera will be out of the office next week and I will be driving students to Catalina on Tuesday/Wednesday, but we will have several volunteers filling in. If there is anything that you need, please call the school office or email me.

Our 7th and 8th-grade students will all be leaving on Tuesday for an adventure! On the first night they will be staying on the USS IOWA and then in the morning, they will pack up and take a ferry out to Catalina Island.  Please pray that they have a safe and memorable experience.

The Fall Carnival is just around the corner. Please mark your calendars for October 21st. It will be an amazing afternoon of spending time with your school family, enjoying some great food, and playing games!
