Student Growth in the Classroom
Victory Christian Academy’s primary education, spanning Kindergarten through 8th grade, focuses on the holistic development of its students and creating a foundation of character and knowledge that will propel them to success in high school, college, and life. Strong academics are central to this approach and, in recent standardized testing, Victory’s 2016/17 eighth-graders averaged college-level scores (grade level 13+) in English/Language Arts, Math and Complete Composite categories.
At Victory, we also believe that quality of character is as important as academic growth. We feel it important to keep parents informed not only of growth as a student but growth as a person.
Student Growth in Christ
In addition to the Christian theology that is a part of everyday teachings in the classroom, a weekly chapel service is held on Wednesday mornings. This service normally begins at 9:00 am. Our principal, pastor, teachers, students and guest speakers conduct the services. Our Student Council selects a special project for each quarter of the school year. Special short-term projects may also be selected. Students learn stewardship and are able to see the impact of their contributions as they support Christian ministries around the world.
Student Growth in Athletics
Along with ongoing physical education, we offer a competitive sports program open to all students in grades 4-8 that includes Volleyball and Basketball. Volleyball begins in the Fall and Basketball in the Spring. Practice schedules are sent home to all students interested in playing. These practices are held after school. In our sports program, we focus on skill, but also on Christian conduct and sportsmanship. We hold our players accountable for being great examples in our community and excellent representatives of our school. For more sports program information, email coach@pilgrimcv.org
