Living In The Moment
Daily Devotional Series - Day 34
Reading: Ecclesiastes 9:11-18
Every morning when I leave my neighborhood to go to the East Campus I have to cross Otay Lakes Road. The traffic going down Otay Lakes Road from H St. to Bonita Rd. moves FAST. The drivers across the light from me want to turn left down the hill. Sometimes they don’t notice the people coming across and just turn. One morning, when the light turned green, I paused. I wanted to know the if the driver across from me saw me or not before I moved. He did and waved me across. I started to inch forward when a black sedan came screaming down the hill, running the red light right in front of me. If I had not paused and taken the right away, I would be dead.
Unfortunately, this happens all the time the other way around. We don’t know when our number will be called. There is no time to wait when it comes to your walk with God or to cherish your family. Live in the moment because you do not know how many you have left.

Key Scripture
