Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. – Philippians 3:12-14 ESV
Daily Devotional Series from Victory Church
Good Day Victory!
Progress is defined as “a movement toward a goal or to a further or higher stage. Advancement in general.”
Over the last 24 months at Victory, we have been searching for movement and progress. It seems during times of struggle or the unknown our human nature tends gets in the way and distract us from our plans and goals to move forward. Moreover, as people, our human nature is to naturally search for comfort and peace, we strive to be content. Remember contentment is human nature; it is not God’s nature. Our Lord and Savior desires movement, but the movement needs to be within, it needs to come from our heart; therefore, the Holy Spirit knows exactly what we need as God’s people and he knows exactly what our ministry needs to move forward and to make further progress. What do you need to progress further? How can God use YOU to move forward for His kingdom
Concentrate today on the inward movement of your heart. Seek God today and pray for ways he can move us to do more and be vessels for Him in His kingdom.
I pray mightily today for God’s direction in all of our lives!
